⚡ Continuously updated as new leaks surface

Apple isn’t the only company with a massive 2026 lineup. While everyone’s focused on the iPhone Fold reveal this fall, Samsung is quietly preparing what could be its most ambitious summer Unpacked event ever — expected in July 2026.

Here’s everything credibly leaked so far.

🔁 The Big Picture: Samsung’s 2026 Strategy

For the first time in foldable history, Samsung is launching into a market where Apple is a competitor. That changes everything. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is shaping up to be the most important foldable of 2026 — for the first time in the format’s history, it launches alongside genuine western competition from Apple. Odin case

Samsung’s response: three foldable tiers in one year — standard Fold 8, the all-new Fold 8 Wide, and the Flip 8. Plus a new Watch lineup. It’s a lot.

Expected July 2026 Unpacked lineup:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 (standard)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide (new — direct response to iPhone Fold)
  • Galaxy Z Flip 8
  • Galaxy Watch 9
  • Galaxy Watch Ultra 2

📱 Galaxy Z Fold 8 — The Safe Evolution

Design-wise, CAD-based renders show a device nearly impossible to distinguish from last year’s model: same screens, same flat-sided silhouette, negligible thickness changes. That conservatism may be intentional. Gadget Hacks

But the internals tell a different story.

Leaked specs (high confidence): 6.5″ cover display and 8″ inner display (both 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED), Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging, 200MP main camera (1/1.3″ sensor), 50MP ultrawide, 10MP 3x telephoto, dual-layer UTG inner display with laser-drilled metal plate for reduced creasing, vapor chamber cooling, Android 17 / One UI 9, 7-year update support. Odin case

The two biggest actual upgrades:

Battery: A reported 5,000mAh cell would be the first capacity increase in the standard Fold line since the Z Fold 3 launched in 2021. The line has been effectively stalled on endurance for five years — Samsung is catching up to a benchmark that has existed for a while. Gadget Hacks

Charging: Wired charging jumps from 25W to 45W — bringing the Fold 8 in line with the Galaxy S26 series for the first time.

Camera: The ultrawide upgrades from a long-outdated 12MP to 50MP — a significant real-world improvement.

Expected price: ~$1,799–$1,999. Samsung has a strategic incentive to keep the Z Fold 8 meaningfully below Apple’s expected $2,400 iPhone Fold pricing — positioned as the rational choice for anyone comparing both. Odin case

📱 Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide — Samsung’s Direct Answer to the iPhone Fold

This is the genuinely exciting new product. Early leaks and rumors first emerged last September, highlighting that the wide-body foldable will make its debut alongside the regular Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 in summer 2026. Android Police

The upcoming wide-body foldable features a 7.6-inch screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and a 4,800mAh dual-cell battery. Firmware files confirm it will move to a 4:3 aspect ratio — ditching its predecessors’ dimensions entirely. Android Police

In plain terms: when you unfold it, you get something closer to a square tablet than a tall phone. That’s exactly the same form factor as the leaked iPhone Fold.

The real question Samsung’s 2026 lineup raises is whether the company can hold two positions in the foldable market simultaneously: a conservative flagship for existing loyalists, and a second device designed to challenge Apple at Apple’s own chosen proportions before Apple has a chance to define what a foldable should look like. Samsung ships in July. Apple ships in December at the earliest. Samsung will have 5+ months to own the narrative.

⌚ Galaxy Watch 9 — Smarter, Thinner, More Comfortable

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 during its Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2026, alongside its next-generation foldable devices. The standard Watch 9 will focus on biometric density — by thinning out the sensor housing, Samsung aims to make it the most comfortable sleep-tracking wearable on the market. Smartwatch Insight

What’s new:

  • Snapdragon Wear Elite chip on the Ultra 2 (major performance upgrade)
  • Exynos W1000 remains in the standard Watch 9 (continuity over disruption)
  • Redesigned for all-day and all-night wear comfort
  • AI Health Coaching features via One UI 8.5 Watch
  • No “Classic” variant — Samsung simplifying to two tiers: Watch 9 and Ultra 2

The big potential headline: Supply chain whispers indicate Samsung is finally nearing a consumer-ready non-invasive glucose trend monitor — a feature that would put them years ahead of the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Smartwatch Insight This has been rumored for years. Whether it actually ships in Watch 9 is the question to watch.

Expected price: ~$349 (Watch 9) / $649–$699 (Ultra 2)

⌚ Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 — The Premium Leap

The original Ultra was released in 2024. A 2025 titanium blue refresh disappointed fans who wanted a real hardware update. The Ultra 2 is confirmed as a full ground-up sequel — not a refresh.

The Ultra 2 is rumored to feature a dual-chip architecture — a high-performance Snapdragon Wear Elite processor for demanding tasks and a low-power co-processor for always-on health monitoring — potentially pushing battery life toward the 4-day mark. Notebookcheck

If Samsung delivers 4-day battery life with Garmin-level health tracking and Apple-level software polish, the Ultra 2 would be genuinely competitive with the Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Wait if the Fold 8’s battery upgrade and camera improvements matter to you — July is only 3 months away.
